Be able to save the image as a different file type for example if your image is JPG be able to save it as a BMP, PNG, TIFF or any other image file.

Umm - png, jpg, gif, bmp and pdf. are the save options. The program does get stuck saving a file (in the same format and in the same name) after that first save as. That needs to be sorted but you aren't actually stuck saving in your input format.
