Pixo Se

With Pixo SE the possibility to apply effects to photographs has become a very easy option, because you will only have to open the image, select the effect that you want to apply and use the brush to apply it to the areas of the image of your choice.

Include a save as function, as it stands this program will overwrite any original image unless you create a backup copy.

Include a before and after window so that you can compare images before editing and once editing is complete.

Also ensure the original can't be overwritten by the edited version.

Include a zoom feature - this would enable the user to be more exact when applying effects to specific area's of an image

Remove the 'Apply Effect' button. The user should be able to apply effects just by selecting the appropriate effect, rather than have to do both.

On your web site you've said you created the SE version so as to simplify the overall process yet you add extra buttons that are not necessary. I was trying to mix effects earlier and wasn't able to because I'd forgotten to click on the...

When editing an image using the program automatically create a save title that's different from the original so that users don't overwrite the original image by mistake.

You may not think it's possible, but i've been trying to finish off something when I should have been in bed hours previously and then woke up the following morning to find I'd deleted the image or editied it wthout saving the origial.

Include a fully functioning image editor rather than just a dumbed down photo enhancer. Most of the tools are available as freeware via other programs.

Also include the ability to compare the original image side by side with the edited image rather than just the show original image toggle.

I find it much better to be able to compare the differences between the original and edited versions by direct comparison, not having to toggle between the two.

Once i've used the fill tool I am unable to add more effects to the image. enable the user to add effects over other effects

This would give the program a much wider appeal to the general user IMO

This would be an excellent add-on to other more established photo editing suites either commercial like Photoshops or freeware programs like The Gimp or Faststone Image Editor

Include all the tools in a single tool bar (or maybe as a tabbed tool bar) rather than have the tools spread around the periphery of the image.

This would create a tidier looking GUI - at present it looks ‘dishevelled’

Create a cloud based program via your own website so that users can use the tool without having to nstall it to their computers.

You could charge an annual fee, or maybe a lifetime fee for it's use. You could also include the option for the user to install the program to their system if they decided a cloud based app wasn't for them.

The program keeps freezing on my Win 7 64 bit system - is the program coded to work wit 64 bit systems? It works fine on my 32 bit system (XP Pro)

I've throughly tested the program over the last 1 hour and 40 mins on two systems; a Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit system (up to date with patches) and a Win XP Pro 32 bit system with SP3. so far it's frozen several times using the 64 bit sstem and...

Include a swatch selection tool or give the option of selecting from all the different ways of selecting color rather than the method that's presently used in the Frame color picker area.

The GUI looks like it's been designed for a child. Redesign for a better looking interface and give the user the option to change the color of the GUI

I realize you have tried to make the SE version simpler by making the buttons bigger and the interface less cluttered, but for me it doesn't look good. At leat include the option to revert to the older looking GUI via a toggle in the...

Include a much wider selection of brushes with different shapes. Or at least create additional brush packs that can be added if the user wishes to use them.

Include this with the full version of the Pixio program - you could create a toggle to seperate the features of the SE version so that the user could switch between the SE and the original version.

Most of the Effects are all or nothing - include sliders that enable the user to either increase or attenuate the effect for ALL effects

There should also be a slider for the instant enhancement slider. as it stands there's little control over the effect.

Remove the brush selection window and change it to a slider for more control over brush sizes. Extend the brush size to even larger brushes.
